Indochine Coffee is one of the largest coffee companies in Vietnam. They needed a new re-purposed logo and packaging that would help them compete in a retail environment. They wanted to look attractive, unique and “stand out of the crowd”.
I designed the logo with an iconic illustration of a Tonkin woman in her traditional costume. The word “Tonkin” is a French word that indicates the people of Northern Vietnam. This name was used in 1883 for the French colonial Tokin protectorate, a constituent territory of French Indochine (English: Indochina) during this time.
